01Your agreement with us
By creating a Vesper account or using the app in any way, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"), our Privacy Policy, and our Community Guidelines. If you don't agree, don't use Vesper.
"Vesper" or "we" means DECCANWAVE LABS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED, the operator of the Vesper mobile app and the website at this domain. "You" means the individual using the Vesper app under their account.
02Who can use Vesper
- You must be a resident of India. Vesper is currently available only in India.
- You must be at least 18 years old.
- You must be competent to enter into a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872.
- You must not have been previously banned from Vesper. Creating a new account to evade a ban is itself a violation.
03Your account
You sign in with a phone number that you control. Keep your phone secure — anyone with access to your phone's SMS can sign in to your account. We don't use email or passwords; OTP-on-the-phone is the security model.
- One account per person.
- You're responsible for what happens under your account, including messages you send.
- You can delete your account from Settings → Danger zone → Delete account at any time.
04How you must behave on Vesper
You agree to follow our Community Guidelines. Beyond that, you agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code from the app.
- Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect data from Vesper, including other users' profiles or messages.
- Build a competing service using data obtained from Vesper.
- Run bots or automated agents on the platform.
- Interfere with the app's normal operation, attempt denial-of-service attacks, or probe for security vulnerabilities outside of a coordinated disclosure.
- Use the app to send spam, run scams, or distribute malware.
- Bypass rate limits, verification steps, or in-app purchase flows.
- Create multiple accounts to abuse referral rewards, free-tier limits, or moderation outcomes.
If you find a security issue, please report it to support@vesperchat.live rather than exploiting it.
05Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create on Vesper — your messages, your avatar configuration, your display name. By posting that content, you grant Vesper a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, transmit, display, and process it solely to operate and improve the service.
You confirm that your content is yours to share, doesn't infringe anyone else's rights, and doesn't break the law.
We may remove content that violates these Terms or our Guidelines. We're not obligated to monitor every message, but when something is reported, we look at it.
06Free tier limits
The free plan includes:
- Unlimited rooms and direct messages.
- Access to all 27 moods and the 3 mood worlds.
- 3 voice calls per day.
- 1 mood match per day.
- Up to 10 saved contacts in your Circle.
- Standard aura avatars.
Free-tier limits reset on a rolling daily basis. Bonus calls earned through referrals stack on top of your daily limit. We may adjust these limits with notice.
07Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or the Community Guidelines. The graduated response is described on the Safety Center.
You may stop using Vesper at any time. To delete your account and data, use Settings → Danger zone → Delete account. Deletion is permanent and most data is removed immediately, with limited records kept for the retention windows in the Privacy Policy.
08Our intellectual property
The Vesper name, logo, the Aura system, the mood-matching design, the app interface, the website, and all related marks are the property of DECCANWAVE LABS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED. You may not use them without written permission, except that you may share screenshots of your own activity.
09Disclaimers
Vesper is provided "as is" and "as available." We don't guarantee that the app will be error-free, uninterrupted, or secure against every conceivable threat, and we don't guarantee that any specific match, room, or person will be available at any given time.
We don't verify the identity of every user. People you meet on Vesper are strangers — treat them like strangers. Don't share information you wouldn't share with someone you just met.
10Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, DECCANWAVE LABS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the app, including loss of data, loss of opportunity, or damage to relationships.
Where liability cannot be excluded under Indian law, our total liability to you is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid Vesper in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) ₹2,500.
11Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or your use of Vesper will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
