We're a small team at DECCANWAVE LABS (OPC) PRIVATE LIMITED building one product for a long time. If the alternative-social space — and what it means to design conversation instead of feeds — is the thing you'd want to work on for the next few years, we'd like to talk.
01How we work
- Small team, full ownership. Every person here owns surfaces, not tickets. If you build it, you ship it, you support it.
- Remote-first, async-default. We have core overlap hours (IST afternoon / EU morning / PST early morning) and the rest is up to you.
- Calm pace, real shipping. No theatre sprints, no fake deadlines. Two-week cycles, weekly demos, monthly retros.
- Salary is competitive, not VC-inflated. We pay at the 75th percentile of Indian startup rates with meaningful equity. We'll tell you the band before you interview.
- Health and time off. Comprehensive health insurance, 30 days paid leave, plus the week between Christmas and New Year off for everyone.

03How hiring works
We've tried to design a hiring loop we'd want to be on the other side of. Four steps, two weeks end to end:
- Intro call (30 min). We tell you what the role actually is. You tell us why this — not just any job.
- Paid take-home (4–6 hours, your pace). A real problem from our roadmap. We pay for your time whether you continue or not.
- Working session (90 min). Walk us through your take-home, then we work on a follow-up together. Less interview, more pairing.
- Team conversation + offer (60 min). Meet two future teammates, ask anything. Offer within 48 hours.
04How to apply

- A link to something you've built or written (not your LinkedIn).
- One paragraph on why Vesper — what about this product made you write to us.
- Any constraints we should know about up front (location, notice period, accommodations).
No cover letters, no formatted PDFs. We read every email ourselves.
