This page describes the cookies and similar local-storage entries the Vesper website uses. We've kept it minimal on purpose — there are no advertising cookies, no cross-site trackers, and no analytics that follow you elsewhere.
01The short version
- The website uses one entry of browser local storage to remember whether you picked day or night theme.
- We don't set advertising cookies. We don't share data with ad networks.
- The Vesper mobile app uses no cookies at all.
- You can clear everything from your browser settings at any time without affecting your account.
02What we store
"Cookies" in this policy means HTTP cookies and similar browser-storage technologies (localStorage, sessionStorage). Below is everything Vesper's website itself sets:

That's the entire list. We don't set session cookies, login cookies (the marketing site doesn't have a login), or analytics cookies on the website.
03Third-party cookies
The Vesper website itself doesn't embed third-party trackers, ad pixels, or social-media widgets. If we add a third-party tool in future (for example, an embedded video player or a privacy-respecting analytics tool), we'll update this page and, where required, ask for your consent before it loads.
Web fonts on this site are loaded through next/font and served from our own infrastructure — they do not set cookies on your browser.
04Inside the mobile app
The Vesper mobile app is a native iOS / Android app. It does not use HTTP cookies. Instead, it stores a small amount of local data on your device that is functionally similar:
- An auth token in the device's secure storage so you don't have to re-verify your phone every time you open the app.
- A push notification token so the app can deliver call and DM notifications.
- App preferences (theme, notification toggles) and a small offline cache of your recent rooms and messages so the app feels instant.
All of this is described in detail in the Privacy Policy. Uninstalling the app removes the local data; deleting your account also removes the server-side records.
05Your controls
- Clear what we've stored — clear cookies and site data for this domain in your browser settings. The next time you visit, the theme will default again.
- Block storage entirely — most browsers let you disable cookies and storage per-site. The site will still load; you just won't have your theme remembered between visits.
- Browse privately — incognito / private browsing windows don't persist storage between sessions.
06Changes to this policy
If we add a new cookie or storage entry, this page will be updated and the Effective date at the top will change. Where consent is required under Indian law, we'll prompt you in the browser before setting it.
